Hi! I’m Greg Long.

It’s nice to meet you. I’m glad you’re here.

I am not a sage on the stage telling people how to change; I am a guide on the side walking with people on their journey.

Greg Long

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but spent my childhood and adolescent years in South Georgia, where my grandfather became the most significant influence in my early life. My uncle had a farm just south of Macon where my grandfather and I hunted, baled hay, grew crops, worked cattle, rode horses, had family reunions, and took long life-changing walks through the farm. Those years shaped my life and love for the land, animals, wildlife, and the beauty of God’s creation.

Though I lost the connection to the land when my grandfather died, I never lost the love deep in my soul for nature and its beauty.

After graduation from high school and college, I enrolled in a theological seminary, where  I completed masters and doctoral degrees in preparation for Christian ministry. I spent the next decade pastoring, teaching, and writing until a divorce ended my vocational ministry career.

I spent the next twenty-two years in educational publishing in various positions culminating in the role of corporate vice president for marketing. The consolidation of companies in educational publishing unexpectedly eliminated my position in 2008, leading to a return to vocational ministry in 2009.

For the past decade, I have had the opportunity to pastor, teach, coach, and serve people that have struggled with failure and lost hope. Through knowledge and experience gained from my own career and family failures, I have been blessed with an opportunity to help others find hope and new life.

Henri Nouwen said, “The great illusion of leadership is to think that man can be led out of the desert by someone who has never been there.”

My passion and mission are to create environments that lead people from failure to new life finding their answers to the four great questions everyone must answer. I guide people through transition and growth through teaching, speaking, career and personal coaching, courses, books, and resources. I would like to join you on your life journey as a guide by your side!

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” ~ Jesus
